Car PC Hacks is![]()
The reason why I want to get car pc hacks is because I want to have a general knowledge of car pcs, before I start posting obvious questions. I found Car pc hacks for $15 at abebooks.com, so ill probably order it.Originally Posted by gnomad

Just lurk, watch noobs make mistakes you might have, then when you feel like you could really ask a question worth asking, go for it.
I do have a general knowledge of pcs, as well as soldering and what not (although I dont think Ill need to solder much). What I want the book for, is to know what kind of things to get, and how to set them up so that they will suit my needs.
I too have some computer background and extensive Car Audio background, but as a noob to carputers, the information is intimidating. It is obvious that there is a wealth of knowledge on this site. However, the books offer something that I don't feel this site has yet.....A friendly, helpful intoduction in the carputer world. I'm not familiar with some of the terminolgy, everything that is needed, what would best suit my needs, all of the cables needed to hook up this or that, etc.
Plus it would serve as excellent reading material for the ****ter.
