narandomsortofw, in your pic below, do you have the little air bag or whatever box right in the way under the cupholder (on 6 speed cars)? If so, how did you route all the wires and stuff. I can't even get a finger through all that junk. Did you have to do a lot of cutting under there to make everything fit through?
I cut a hole all the way across the bottom about 3 inches high. The electrical lines I ran down the passenger side of the console (be sure and keep the lines out of the way of the e-brake. One of wires was almost cut when I dropped it down the first time.)

The vacuum lines i ran down the drivers side. There is enough room just make sure not to kink any lines up.

I'm not sure what lingo you mean. Just ask and I'm sure I can explain.

I'm also not sure which wiring diagrams you mean. Most are not used for stereo related stuff except for the radio harness wires.
Here is an explanation on those:

For posting pictures, if they are under 100K in size you can attach them to a post. Look under the Additional Option when you are typing your reply and you'll see a Manage Attachments button. If the pic is over the size limit you can sign up for free at a image hosting site like http://photobucket.com/. These sites are cool as you can upload larger pics and put a direct link to them into your post so the pic will appear full size and not in the small thumbnail you have to click.

I was able to cut a big hole out in that storage area, by using a long fireplace lighter to heat the plastic and then I cut it out with a razor blade in a scraper holder thing. No fumes and it sliced pretty easy.
I happen to have an extra center console laying around so I took some pics. It seems the wires and lines are going to have to go around the computer box thing as it's right in the way. Once you are going alond both sides you run into a solid wall just ahead of it. I think I may need to cut out 2 holes for the lines to run through. The problem is, what if I need to pull the console out? I would like to run all the lines under the actual console and have them run inside only through the storage compartment hole. At that point they should be easy to disconnect from the climate control switches. It's a bit of a dilema.
So you only had to cut the hole in the storage area by the switches?

I only cut the main storage compartment. If you run along the sides it works. The car frame dips down where the second wall hits. I went under it. There is a group of factory wires that I followed. Just run the wires and see what works.

Hey Guys, I just got my Lilliput screen in that I mentioned a while back and the damn thing has crappy viewing angles. I can't use it in the TA, so now I have to find another screen that fits and has a wider viewing angle.

I think Berhard on post #1 is the only guy running a 10.4" screen, huh? Any of you guys know of a 10.4" that has a thin border around the actual LCD and has a good viewing angle?

That really sucks to hear about the angles... I was really hoping to see your install soon with a big 10.4 inch screen. I personally dont know of another screen off hand, but Ill look around as I look for parts for my project. Keep Up the good work.

    Defrost problem on Firebird

Quick question for you f-body guys !

Is there a known problem with a faulty defrost on a firebird ? The wires look good, but there is no power at the window.

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Jeff
