Here's an example of a chrome tank mounted in the back.

    Looks great, huh?

This may be a bit off topic, but after crunching some numbers I came up with a Super Low Buck air ride kit for our cars for about $1000. Very minimal welding required. Just for the rear bag mounts and for an upper front bag mount. So it's almost a bolt on setup. It's not fancy or fast, but it gets the job done.

Most of the new info is at the front of my air ride thread:

    3 of the Rockford T5002's.

These models are way under rated. The T5002 does 1000w. The different models vary in efficiency. The T8002 doesn't double, but does about 75% or so more than rated at 1400w. These do 1 ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono. Here's a page with more info on rated vs. real power:

These are last years models. The newest ones are small and black and are not very under rated. I don't care for them.

If you want a single large amp the T15002 does 2500w. These go for $440 from Rockfords online store of factory refurbished items. I'm wouldn't usually buy a refurbed anything, but it's Rockford doing the work and guaranteeing it for 90 days. Their store name is highdesertaudio.

    These are also fan cooled.

If I could figure out how to run 2 fuel tanks like the vettes it would open up some new configurations. I think I could run the stock sender/pump in one of the tanks (divided by the driveshaft tunnel) and then connect the other tank to it with a line from the bottom and a line at the top. Like so:

    Then I could do these:

This particular setup is real nice because if you flip the subs cone up the whole thing is pretty stealthy. Then when you really want to show off, flip the subs cone down.
I think this is my favorite.

I have a question for the f-body guys that stick things in the driver side cubby hole in the rear. Do you take into account that the exhaust vent under the plastic grate is there? Can you dynamat over it or would that reduce the A/C pressure when it's on? Mine is vibrating becuase of those flaps on it and I want to stop it.

Thats the only vent that i know of in the car. Theyre not sealed incredibly tight, but considering its the only one, covering might not be a great idea. I bet that you would lose at least a little hvac pressure.

Thanks. Yeah it's not really in there very tight. It just kind of snaps out like the heat extractors. I popped it out and snapped it back in and it sounds a little better. I guess I won't plug it up but maybe replace it with foam and see what happens. Now I can hear the seatbelt rollers and rearview mirrors and some kind of metal plate under the car. Fun!
