Hey guys! Figured I'd drop in and say hi. I recently purchased a 97+ dash for $150. That's the entire dash from door to door, including gauge cluster, HVAC controls, light controls, passenger air bag, and a-pillars. Didn't ask for the piece that goes from the dash to right up against the windshield since I have had one sitting in my attic for a few years that I got for $20.

So, I've started the process of converting over to 97+ interior so I can have an easier to integrate carPC. I just loved the looks of the carPCs that people posted here with 97+ interior... looks so much easier than fabricating my own entire bezel for my carPC. lol

When I get any progress pics worthy of posting, I'll post 'em up

Is the plate like a rattling noise? Very high pitched tinging and clinging? If so you might find that its the o2 sensors rattling. Sounds crazy, but the stamped metal ring that holds down part of the heat covering seems to be the culprit. Just something to think about.

Don't all the 93-97 dashes look the same? Then the 98-02 are the newer style?

Yea, i figured that he hit the "7" instead of the "8" since he's getting everything else for the conversion.

If I had my dash out, I'd seriously be contenplating putting my carPC where the passanger side air bag is. Perfect spot for it and you could cover it using the stock air bag piece with hinges on it or heat up some lexan for a clear cover.

Yes! That's the sound. Just certain frequencies get it going. I thought it was in the rear but couldn't find it, but that makes sense because it's resonating throughout the exhaust I guess.
