Exterior wise, the year range is 93-97, 98-02. Interior wise, they upgraded the interior one year early in 1997. So the "LT1 era" interior was 93-96, while the "LS1 era" interior was 97-02. That's in the Camaro specifically, I'm not sure about the Firebird/TA's.

It allows me to go from a completely customized and fiberglassed bezel which was cool but just didn't fit the interior:

To a more stock-ish look (not mine -- this was posted earlier in the thread):

Thanks, I didn't know that they changed the interior one year earlier. How come you want to go back to a stock look with everything?

I'm still waiting to get it. I may have to drive up to Abilene and wring his neck like Bart Simpson.

I'm basically at a standstill. It's only after I get the new engine in and it's running that I can get back to the fun stuff. I wanna get the air bags for the front so bad. Replacing the rear suspension is also high on my list. The thunderbird IRS is going to affect a lot of things so I wanna get it done pretty quick. Here is an excellent link that shows the same IRS being installed in a pickup truck.

I also came up with a new idea for the subwoofer box with the priorities been high sound quality, efficient output and a low center of gravity.

I still plan to make the one large amplifier from three smaller ones as well as have a chrome plated air tank.

That setup design looks good. So you decided to give up your t-top storage to achieve a lower center of gravity? I know you said how you wanted to still have that for your tools. I can't wait to see this all finely get going. I'm really interested in seeing that IRS and am starting to get edgy to try an air ride on mine since it's finally breaking 30 here.

Thanks for the link, It was a very informative read.

I can put the T-tops behind the front seats. This is all on the backburner right now.

surprising well considering it's not completely sealed....one of my projects this summer is to make a fiberglass back to seal it completely....for now it is somewhat sealed by the shear weight and shape of the box against the factor carpet and padding. I will be getting it out after this weekend so you can get a load of some pics. I have 2 12's and 2 15's with about 6000 watts of steady power going to them.....even with 2 yellow top batteries and 3 caps the headlights still dim on the really hard hits.....but i rarely turn it up all the way, it's mostly for show
