Guess I'm not following -- the bottom center section being where the HVAC and radio go?

Yeah, I was thinking about raising the engine and trans about 2" for more ground clearance, but I never could tell if there was something in the way under the dash area.

I got that idea from Gary Biggs who did a sealed (15"?) in his Buick like that. He never re-installed the A/C as it was a showcar. By moving it to the rear I could make it even more powerful. It's a black car in TX with a glass roof, it gets hot! I'd like to have it cool the whole car in a minute or 2.

The TA is my big toy at this point. I don't mind cutting it up. It's paid for and I have another car for daily driving.

Oh yeah, another one of my ideas came to fruition. I figured out that the vette C6 Z06 14" front rotor and the Caddy CTS-V 4 piston Brembo calipers is a bolt on without any custom brackets. It's like $600 for the parts and as long as your rims will clear (18", no lip on rim) you have a cheap big brake kit. I'm good to go, I just don't have the money right now.

    Jason,

I love the ideas you come up with, i am new to the forums and I am about to attain a 1994 Camaro Z28 Convertible LT1 6speed car and I am watching this thread carefully regarding stuff I can do to the car to get a CarPC in it. I love the ideas of Meissenation regarding the switching of the dash to accomodate the bigger dash.

I'm back to check on things over here.

For those interested in lowering the front of your 4th gen about an inch for $0, I have a thread on LS1tech.com. For those already lowered, this mod will make your car ride smoother. It all has to do with the upper shock mount.

I'm also embarking on project "Super Low". My goal is to get the car down to 35" in height.
I'll see about posting some links in the morning.

If you guys need me, my email is in my profile info.
