    professional installation

because my dad was kind enough to buy me my car, he is requiring that i get this carputer professionally installed.

would most shops be able to do something like this? the monitor has pretty normal connections (http://www.mp3car.com/store/popup_im...ID=120&image=6)

does the case/psu have any abnormal connections? its this one... (http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=107) im thinking, power, ground, and ignition, plus vga and usb. i cant think of any more off the top of my head.

has anyone else had theirs done professionally? im worried that the 'profesionals' might not be as capable as a dork like me when it comes to carputers...

I can vouch for Safe and Sound in Manassas. I get a lot of my parts from them, and have talked to the owner about carputers. They are very proficient over there.

Expect to shell out some coin for anything that's not "drop-in" easy, as none of this is. Then again, nothing that's worth it in life is ever cheap.

    just buy a carbot http://www.carbotpc.com/

either that or show your dad the pricing of it and tell him he could save over a grand if he lets you do it.
