I have a laptop with road runner front end ( doesn't matter), and I was just wondering if there is a way to make it so if i hook it up somehow to my desktop comuter, that it will be recognized as an mp3 player or something so i can update songs to it through windows media plyer or itunes or something?
Or is there just some other software that makes this possible? Sorry if this is an overplayed question.
thanks in advance!
through your thread title, this seems ubsurdly stupid.....but now that i understand what you mean.....you basically want a syncing tool.
As I undertsand there is not one that I know of that works with WMP direcly, however there are several playlist sync tools available.
i'm not sure of a random sync tool.

Yeah It doesn;t need to be specifically used with media player, i would actually prefer it not to be used with that, i kind of dislike it. but yeah, i just need a syncing tool..
Why don't you just map its HD on your desktop, it will just look like any other local drive.
You might also want to look at Karen's Replicator, I use it all the time, it is not automatic thoug, you should find it here http://www.karenware.com/powertools/powertools.asp.
isnt there something built into windows called My Briefcase? i could swear that its for syncing files between computers.. but i dont know if thats just for stuff like text documents. try it out. click start then run and type C:\WINDOWS\system32\syncapp.exe
i havnt tried it yet... and to add in with that... im not sure im even thinking what youre thinking
