This is my solution on my TSX:
thanks for explaining it to me. how weak is the signal from the onboard soundcard on the via m10000 do you know?
100?!?!? metra is 10 dollars
Yeah it's a bit pricey but it keeps my HU intact, and makes use of the existing AUX button on the stock stereo. This way I keep my radio and my 6 disc changer (altho... it's kinda useless), and the thing plugs right into my HU's interface socket. Prolly similar on your RSX as well.
Dang I wish metra made din harnesses for tsx! Never knew such products existed for the RSX even (found it during the metra search).
i think they do. did you find any?
no... nothing for tsx. I think aftermarket navi parts choices for cars that have stock navi options are very limited.
sweet, thanks alot for the info guys. im sure glad i checked back here..
how do you connect metra harness to acura rsx type-s bose hu/amp which is stock in car?
The metra kit listed on page one is only applicable if you're going to be removing your stock headunit. I thought it would connect into the AMP under the passenger seat, thats how it was described. But the connector that you get actually plugs in up in the dash, to the harness that comes out of the stock headunit. Then you run RCA cables from the dash back to the CarPC.
