On a separate note... my BTC 9116URF wireless keyboard works ok with it, but the joystick mouse will only move the cursor up and down, no left/right action. How sad.

Sweet... I have one other to try as well... possibly 2 if I can find the controller for the other I have. Also, there is keyboard support for UnleashX if anyone is interested, just found that out as well. Wee. Think I'm running UnleashX 0.39 or so.
Ok weird... so the top half of my touchscreen will move the cursor left, and left only, regardless of finger direction. the bottom half is just crazy erratic all over the place... i dunno.
Now the joystick mouse on my keyboard I found will do the up/down motion correctly on a list of files, but no cursor control. If i move the joystick mouse left or right, it moves the cursor up or down. Mouse support on the xbox sucks so far. Bet it would work ok with a real mouse tho. I'll have to try.
Yup, real mouse works fine. Stupid touchscreens.![]()
So I'm confused... Can you control XBMC with the mouse on the wireless keyoboard? Meaning actually clicking like My Music for example and playing a song?

You can... if it's supported. The mouse that is attached to my wireless keyboard does not function correctly, but my logitech wireless mouse works great with it.
The XBMC wiki has a compatibility list I do believe.
What is the best way to get internet AND Xbox live working on one DSL modem? What is the best way to get internet AND Xbox live working on one DSL modem? I need to use Ethernet cables for both internet and xbox live.
To be honest, I dont' get the touchscreen thing. Sure, gadgetry, cool, but when you're driving down the road you have to take your eyes off the road to navigate your touchscreen. With an IR remote (which XBMC already does really well), you can navigate the menus by tactile feel of the remote buttons.
I'm running the newer XBMC "Babylon" edition (it rocks), which does indeed have mouse support.
Instead of a driver, how 'bout a Python script? XBMC runs scripts, and their use doesn't interrupt the media functions. Plus, python is open source, might even get lucky and find something that has the bulk of the work done for you and adapt it. I'm hypothesizing that XBMC could boot, and in the AdvancedSettings.xml file you could add a line of code that starts your script automatically: www.python.org
The actual hardware isn't supported. Yes, XBMC for the xbox has some basic mouse support, but a touchscreen doesn't show up as a mouse. It's an input device, yes, but the xbox doesn't care. Plus, how would you even calibrate it? Calibration on most touchscreens writes settings to the touchscreen hardware as far as I know.
Now, XBMC for PC on the other hand, that may have some very nice potential. but most of the skins are not touch friendly.
