If you have a problem with anything going on here you can:

    1) Attempt to fix it.
    2) ***** about it (not effective and what you are currently doing)
    3) Leave

It seems you are more interested in option 2 and not doing enough of options 1 and 3.

It is fine with me if I am wrong in this statement.

Prove what you are attempting to do or take option 3.

If I understood the OP, he wants the mods to be available more on here, so they could create a SUB-forum for IG which looks like it is wanted by some members.

So the "own forum" is a subforum really, and this thread a way to try and get attention for this request, which looks to me like option 1 and a bit of 2 at the same time...

Unfortunately the Americans don't normally catch that, so I thought I would put in an explanation of sorts

    A couple of points.

The OP is not clear what the *****ing is about.

Also, the OP is very new.

Between the two, most of us do not have any sympathy.
If you have not been arround very long, who are you to make 'demands'?
What do you really know about how things work arround here?

The big issue in my book; write clearly so we have a shot at understanding without guessing.

    How disrepectful.

You can build a whole new world wide web if you want. But this is no place to advertise those ideas.

The first time I thought of a PC in a car, I searched the net and found mp3car. Its satisfied my every curiousity since. I still dont have a carPC (its more just a home media box), but I keep coming back to browse and see what others are doing. If mp3car cant satisfy your needs, take the initiative and add info or start a discussion concerning whats on your mind. Or just leave. Its quite simple...
    My first carPC!
    MP3/CD player
    Celeron 633MHz - 10GB Seagate - 64MB PC100 - Win XP

Soon to actually find its way into the car!

i think most of you missunderstand me. i am not trying to move the forum away or to rebuild the web. it was just a hint to mp3car.com to take care of their (growing) user community and to read more often what our concerns are. it is an ideal advertising platform for them to buy afterwards their products. i exactly did this. everything was just fine, arrive on-time, good choices for a good price. so you see i am satisified customer of mp3car.com and don't want to ****** on them.

one thing they could improve certainly is to create new forums/sub-forums in order to have a clear and easy understandable structure.

it is especially hard for new users to find, i.e. all the information about iGuidance or NaviVoice. therefore we were asking a new forum. it is very hard to read a thread about NaviVoice over 20 pages with all kind of different questions and answers in it.

    that's it!

The subforum for iGuidance has been discussed previously.
If I understand correctly, the reason it wasn't implemented is that those running the site have software subforums up for software that's being developed and/or maintained by forum members or the community at large. iGuidance certainly doesn't fall into that category.
Yes, there's a lot of hacking and tweaking that can be done to iGuidance through various means, but it doesn't warrant a subforum in my opinion.

And if you're having a problem search, that's your problem. The majority of the members here don't have a problem searching and locating information when we need it. Sometimes, it takes time to weed through some bull**** to locate the nugget of info we require, and we know that. My guess is that's something you aren't willing to do. Maybe you don't have the time or the patience. Maybe your ADD is so bad that you can't keep your focus for that long. Maybe you are so spoiled that you aren't content unless you have everything you desire the instant you demand it. Whatever the situation is, it's your problem, not the problem of the forum's management crew.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

it seems like i read crap like this all the time. i think seeing these posts make me dumber.

why does mp3car need to "take care of their growing user community"? mp3car hosts arguably the best car computing forum on the internet. they don't owe you, it's actually the other way around. but what could you do to to help them? here's a grand idea, stop posting bull**** threads like this.
