Just curious, but what BT drivers are you using?
i use road runner as my shell as it boots ALOT faster than explorer can. Only problem i see now is my bluetooth devices dont connect. I get pairing errors while using rr as the shell but if i load explorer it fixes it. I made sure to create a batch that has btstackserver.exe, bttray.exe, and btdins started when windows starts but that doesnt seem to be enough. Anyone else running a non-explorer shell and have their bluetooth devices workinga s they should? I'm using widcomm 5 btw.

there is an essential background BT stack app typycally beeing launched via Startup menu shortcut. since you are not booting through explorer, are you sure you have launched it somehow differently BEFORE RR?
edit: sorry I do not remember name of that stupid little (but essential) tray app.
i didnt realize it had to be launched before rr. Why would that make a difference?

no it does not have to be launched befor RR, but IT HAS TO BE LAUNCHED anyway. In any case, before you try to connect your BT device and realise "it does not work?!?"
stop asking stupid questions and just launch it to see if it helps. I bet it will.
BTW In my case Phoco (1.6 beta) did not work with Widcomm 5 stack at all. I had to revert back to 4.1.2000
who is asking stupid questions. First of all i said in my FIRST post that i'm already launching the tray app and it doesnt work. Lastly, YOU are the one who said it needs to be launched before rr and now your saying it doesnt. Doesnt appear to be a stupid question to me just a stupid answer.
At this point i'm not even puttin phoco in the mix, i'm simply tryin to connect ANY bluetooth device to the pc.
