    Bad Head Unit?

I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on a problem I'm having. I purchased a Pioneer KEH-P3600 (tape deck) back in 1996. I had a CDSFM 1227 FM Modulated 12 disk changer hooked up to it in my previous car. I sold the vehicle and wanted to hookup my MP3 player to the head unit instead. The deck has the bus connection on the back and can (suposedly) interface with a changer. I found a CD-RB10 locally and figured I'd hook up my portable mp3/CD player to test it, but I get nothing. The tape and tuner portion still work great just cant get anything through the bus. Any pioneer lovers know if they changed the interface connection over the years or is there actually something wrong with the deck.

    Thanks

    Dama

On some models, aux has to be enabled thru the menus (i`m using a keh-p7900). If you read the instruction manual then it tells you how to do it.

On my headunit, i had to hold down "func" while the headunit was turned off. You also do other things, like adjust display contrast, etc. while in this hidden menu.
