    GE-Force FX5200

Has anyone tried this video card with thier M2-ATX with success using a celeron or higher processor?

I know the box says it requires a 250watt minimum but I was just curious...

Any info would be great... Thanks.

IT's going to draw a lot of power from the 12v rail, making it a power challenge for ANY DC-DC PSU.

Why do you think you need the 3D processing horsepower in the car?
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Well, its more the S-Video output.

In a previous thread I was talking about my video amp not working. I was getting a black and white on all my TV's except one.

When I tried hooking the amp up to my 5200FX I got all the screens except one to work in perfect color and the display was GREAT.

Unfortunately 3 of the screens had defects, after using them for about an hour they turned black and white, so i'm left with 3 screens that work with color.

I originally tried using the s-video a Radeon 7000 and it gave me all black and white on all the LCD's except one... its a PCI card...

Well...I have what I thought was a 128mb MX440 (not sure anymore) but the Nvidia control panel tells me it's a FX5200. I think I'm using older drivers too. So whatever I have it runs fine on a M1-ATX.
    {Xenarc 700TSV} {Celeron M 1.3 ghz} {ASUS mATX mobo w/CT479} {MX440 128mb AGP} {1x512mb RAM} {3.5" Seagate 40gb (rated at 350 G's)} {M1-ATX}

Ok, I'm thinking its just ATI and the card being PCI thats the problem... I did some reading and found that a lot of users have problems with the radeon 7000 being black and white...

So to starts from scratch, it looks like I should be safe with the following:

    eVGA 064-A8-NV93-LX Geforce MX4000 64MB 32-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

    And for CPU and motherboard:

    ECS 741GX-M(V1.0) w/XPM 2400+ AMD Athlon XP Mobile 2400+ Socket A (Socket 462) SiS 741GX Micro ATX Motherboard/CPU Set

What do you guys think? I used the power calculator and it looks like it will work out...

Any ideas or suggestions? Would a card that has a composite video out instead of an S-Video out be a better idea?
