PS. im not looking for any timer device or anything. Just turn the key off cuts power inverter power
i got a question for ya. How can i make my inverter cut out when i turn off the car.
The original idea was to jsut use a lit switch that i would have to rember to turn off. Theres got to be an easier way.
The car is a 93 plymouth acclaim

thanks.
Whaile i was at work i realized thats how its going to be done. Thats basicly how you control wheatyher my amp comes on
you may see this as a good idea but you should also consider the times when you are sitting in a parking lot waiting, or if you just want to show someone or test something and you dont want to turn on the car. i think the way you want to do it is awesome, but there are times when you dont want the car on to use the carputer. i have mine hooked up to the battery then to a switch so i can turn it on whenever. you are right, it does suck that you have to remember to turn the switch off when you leave the car for a long period of time, but its a bright blue switch and i cant miss the glow.

Just put a SPDT switch connected straight to the battery, ground and the remote wire. This way you can turn your key to accesory to turn on the radio and turn on the remote wire which enables you to turn on the computer. When you turn off the car the computer will just cut off.

some, or most of the cars have a "stereo" setting on the key
off-stereo-ignition-start
or
stereo-off-ignition-start
It's not a stereo setting it's called Accessory or ACC.
