My new Pathfinder was just broken into. Stupid idiots smashed my rear driver's side door 1/4 window and stole my briefcase full of PAPER!

Hahaha I bet you they were ****ed, it was all worthless! They didn't take 1 CD, or even worse, they didn't realize my 6 inch LCD was in my glove box! Luckily my carputer was in my place at the time.

The only down side of all this is I had to pay a $300 deductable to have my window fixed.

I keep getting broken into, but they never take enough to justify paying the deductible. A friend of mine had a respectible philosophy: Leave your doors unlocked and the keys in the visor. That way, they are more apt to take the entire damn car, and your deductible will buy you more than a stupid window.

its a sad world we live in, when that is the smarter option.....

at least the LCD was in the glovebox..... removed? or is that the default location? either way lucky...

I know car theives are a dopey bunch at the lower end of the gene pool..... hide a few things/make it look stock, and u dont get any trouble.....

I know where your coming from. Back in Feb. someone took my head unit but left my char LCD, keypad, and book PC. They didn't know that was almost the cheapest part of the whole system. Didn't mess with the insurance. Just went out and bought another $140 headunit. Sheriff gave me a shot about my plate being MP3JEEP. I told him yea but they left the MP3 part alone. Just wondering if anyone has had they system taken and turned it into insurance. Would auto cover it or home owners????

I had to do the insurance because I drive a 2001 Pathfinder and being here in Vancouver, BC it rains all the time and I needed to have the window!! hehehe

I was surprised when I went in to get my insurance claim, the insurance adjuster told me to keep my doors unlocked too! I asked him, well what it someone gets in and steals the whole car, and then he said...."uhhh yeah I guess that would be a bad idea then" I just laughed at him! hahaha

My car is such a peice of crap, that when they broke my back window, I built a new one out of plexiglass.

Stupid idiots didn't even take the LCD for the car player. I bet it is in the landfill :-(

You want to talk stupid. My wife drives a Kia sportage and it was broken into. They ripped the console apart and took the STOCK head unit. Wow a stock Kia sportage head unit will fetch about $2 on the street. ahahahaha

Its sad when even cheap junk cars are not safe from thieft.
