initially your gripe was that he hadn't built anything in over a year (when infact he had) and now your complaining that it doesn't fit your needs? who cares? it does work for alot of people, even though some have to do alot of customization for their particular setup. that's what this hobby is all about. not everything is going to work for everyone. why complain about it??

I do believe you asked if there was a device that would allow you to control HVAC systems with a PC, if it were possible and/or if this had already been done. The simple answer is yes and you were given a link to the device that did so. Just because you dont think it will work for your setup is no reason to gripe about the repsonses you were given.

As far as devices that can control multiple relays, there are also numerous relay control boards posted all over this site. As suggested, searching would lead you to them. But then again, those may not suit your needs perfectly... but it's a start in the right direction... this hobby is about customization in some form...

hack up the existing climate control, and use the pc to "press" the buttons via relays, etc, or replace the climate control completely, so the PC replaces it.

now, I think the first option would be easier, BUT, are there any PC interfaces (preferably USB) that will control, ah, 17 relays?
    Answer yes,
This is what the AIRCON HVAC control does, it replaces your controls, by numerous methods, either relays, servos, whatever works for your setup. Allowing your PC to be your climate control interface. There is usb control and if you want to just use a relay board, there are usb relay control boards out there.

/edit: The title of your thread is even "Control climate control via PC" which is what the AIRCON offers and what we other members were trying to offer you, at the very least point you in the right direction. It's up to you to determine if it will work for your setup as we can't know every possible setup out there including yours. Assistance and ideas were offered as is the purpose of this forum... There is and was no reason to come off in such a manner because you decided this wouldn't work for you.

At this point, you're not complaining, you're whining like a bratty child.

No, you asked if anyone has done this (quoted from your original post above for your reference).
You did get an answer, but the answer doesn't meet your needs. Because it doesn't meet your needs, you act like a holier-than-thou prima donna.

Tidder is right. You deserve no help because it appears that you want to do nothing more than bash those that are handing you the information you refuse to look for when th information isn't suitable for your project.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
