whats the OS of choice? 98/XP?
Project - GAME OVER :(
barebones:
$209 shipped from caseoutlet.com
If i had realized the board is only 17cmx17cm I wouldn't have gotten the caseYou can find the board/cpu on pricewatch for ~$70 and If you bought a seperate DC-DC psu you'd have more power (the one in the case is 60w)
The cpu only requires <1w power according to the via (www.viatech.com)
The only plus side I see to ordering this case is that you can bring it in your house and plug it in using the ac adapter, and bring it in your car and use a custom voltage regulator to go to the DC-DC psu.
You can get this case at case outlet for $80 or so I believe.. so you can save about $50 if you order from different places.. at the time I ordered though I couldn't find it any place else. I'll be posting pics soon. This thing is great
One nice thing about the case is that it fits perfectly under the pilot seat![]()
I don't want to risk putting it under the copilot seat for the chance that the copilot might decide to adjust the seat
OS:
I had a crash system with 98se setup on it so I started off with that.
I planned on using xp, but if 98se is stable and keeps giving me music in 20s or less then I don't see much reason to switch just yet.![]()

heh, a few years ago, via didnt make cpuscyrix still did. and yes, the original cyrix's were quite "interesting" cpus, as they have done a 180 from their "cook and egg on the 586 class processor" days (round about the time when via bought them
).
