    limit use of video while driving?

    so im getting my daughter a carpc for xmas but i dont want to her to able to watch movies while shes driveing. are there any solutions for this? maybe useing a programable logic controller to sense when the parking break is on? if so how would you do it? thanks

    StreetDeck has this functionaility built into the software. You need GPS to activate it, since it reads the information from the GPS to determine speed and lock out certain functionality.

    Actually, it uses the parking break sensor. (The Infill that is) If it is wired up correctly, video will not be allowed if the parking break is not up.

    If you're looking for a simple solution that can be installed in around 2 hours in your daughters car (provided it has a double din), I'd look at the Infill unit. It has everything you need. Motorized screen, USB ports right on the front, TV, GPS, WiFi, etc.

    It's actually a very cool unit in person.
