I'm looking into building a case out of either plexiglass or a generic acrylic sheet.
Anyone have any reccomendations on where to buy this, my local hardware stores don't seem to carry it.
here's a obscure place that would sell it too, custom art framing shops. You should be able to get smaller precut sizes from them too.
Car : 00' Chrysler 300M
Speakers : Rainbow Audio SLC 265 | Subs : Diamond Audio D6 12" Subs X2
Amp's : Hifonics ZXi 6006 AB | Hifonics BXi 1606 D
CarPC: HP Laptop AMD Sempron 3000+ | 1.5GB RAM | DVD+RW | 80GB 5400RPM HD | ATI R200 Video
what "local" hardware stores did you visit?
Ace, True Value, Tampa Hardware Inc., and others carry it and all have locations in Tampa.
If they offer screen and widow repair, they will carry plexi.
I had a local plastics shop provide me with the sheets and cut them to my specifications. You'll need Weld-On, which is a watery chemical that bonds the edges of the acrylic. It is best to use a needle syringe to apply the chemical. It takes a few minutes for it to bond well enough you don't have to hold it, and bonds at full strength in about 1-2 days.
