Have you thought that the AUX might require a video source in addition to an audio source?
I have a Ford Mondeo Ghia 2003 with touch-screen control panel. It has an aux in in the glove compartment and an "aux" button on the touch-screen panel. I have tried to connect my Zune media player, but all I get is the radio. Nothing happens when pushing the "aux" button. I have made sure the cable between the player and the aux in is well attached, and I put the player volume on maximum.
There is no info in the manual.
Anyone has any idea?
I thought the aux in should work for external audio source such as mp3 player. Why would it need also a video signal?
I doubt the Zune gives video out in the earphone jack, but the docking station has low-level A/V out (Zune plays both audio and video). I can try with connecting the docking station, but I assume the aux in should allow a simple earphone connection, right?
I don't know.
I don't have your vehicle and I'm making guesses. Hell, I don't even live in a part of the world where I can get your make/model.
There may also be some functionality that needs to be unlocked in the unit.
As I said, I don't know.
