Thread: Combined remote / Qwerty keyboard Girder code.

I changed the pins.. using a gender changer alone will not work, follow the guide nemesis posted, it works.

I couldn't get hyper terminal to work, either.. I found the best test is in the settings of the "generic serial basd IR receiver" plugin for girder, I just kept that open and kept testing the remote.. all o fa sudden the little area that displays what code is being transmitted sprang to life with numbers and letters! I had broken through!

I highly suggest using an old sega genesis controller cord for the wiring.. much easier to do.. just a matter of twisting wires together, no soldering required.

I did have a similar problem when I first got mine working. I messed around with the key repeat times and managed to get a better response time, try varying the "Anti-repeat wait time" in Girder for the keys that are giving you problems.

What about posting your revisions for the shift control I would be interested to see what you did.

So to ask a stupid question cause this whole thread has seemed to destroyed my already fragile mind to the point i cant understand anything.......

Does this controller work with an Ir Man?

Does it come with with a male db 9 connector which needs to be converted to a male?

That link doesnt seem to work at the mo will try later......

From what ive read it sounds as if there are 2 ir outputs on the controller and the IR Man will recieve the standard out and the qwerty stuff will go the other........

so it may work if i have both ir recievers plugged in...
