Bluetooth COM port interfering with GPS COM port

I have my GPS on COM5, I believe it is (BU-353) and have Xport forwarding it to COM10, and have Centrafuse setup correctly to see it. I have my USB Bluetooth dongle connected, and it's on COM3, I believe (doesn't matter that much which COM). Whenever I enable my phone's (Motorola E815) Bluetooth, it interferes with my GPS (sometimes it doesn't connect to any satellites, sometimes it goes on and off), and I notice the phone beeps a lot indicating that the computer is communicating with it. I don't think a COM port change for the Bluetooth or GPS would help (maybe?), what else can I do to have both my phone and GPS connected to my 'puter?

Change COM port assignments in the Device Manager.

I thought about that and not sure if that will matter because the port for GPS is COM10 and the Bluetooth is on COM3 or something lower like that. What port would I change it to?

Is your GPS and BT dongle on the same USB hub?

Change them to whatever meets your needs. The biggest factor is the COM port assignment for the GPS, as some GPS apps limit the COM ports they can recognize.

That has nothing to do with COM port assignments issued by Windoze.

That's what he's trying to find out, the GPS is working on com10 and the Bluetooth comport is com3, why shouldn't that work?

I just thought about this as possibly being a problem. I think I have something like 6 USB devices connected using 2 hubs - one plugged into the other. First, would having one hub plugged into the other create issues I would worry about? Second, I guess I could do some math and figure out how much power I'm using with all these devices and see if my M2-ATX gives me enough.

BTW, my GPS is plugged into one of my onboard USB ports, not either hub, but the Bluetooth dongle is plugged into one of the hubs.
