    Question About iGuidance 3.0.....

I know that IG 3.0 is more optimized for CarPCs (in particular the screen size), but does it give you any additional audio options? Specifically, can you insert the "ding" before the IG commands?

The background behind this is I am using the Parrot MK6000 to insert audio from my CarPC to my head unit. I am currently using it for IG 2.8 so that when IG gives a command, it will interrupt my stock radio. The problem is that the first part of the command is cut off before it can be injected into the radio. If I could insert some type of "ding" at the beginning of the IG command, that would be the trigger (even if it is cut off) so that the IG command would not get cut off in the beginning.

Almost all commands start with the word "In" ("In 100 meters turn right"). Go to \Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\Snd, look-up the file In.wav and add a "ding" sound to it. It may do what you need.

There should be some free sound editing software available for download.

Didn't think about that. That means it should work with my current version of IG before I upgrade. I will have to give it a try.
