One or the other.
Is there a GPS receiver with BOTH USB and Bluetooth ? Most bluetooth dongles I have had lose connection intermittently, especially in downtown areas.
I would look at some of the pharos units, for the gps500 it can be docked for use in bluetooth or attached via usb. The dock also works for the microsoft reciever.
just curious, but why would you need both?

I have a Worklog, but I have to take pictures as it's completely out of date now.
I dont know about the author (so shut up right?) but I want the BT for use with my pocket pc, and usb for the carpc (since I dont want to worry about charging it seperatley.
USB for the car PC, BT for cellphones/PDAs.
Use a good serial GPS then connect a SERIAL to USB dongle and a SERIAL to BT dongle. Only use the TX line of the GPS though. The RX are used for configuring the GPS, you can connect this on the SERIAL to USB so your GPS can be configured via USB (only).

Thanks for the replies guys. For some reason, the connection between my globalsat 338 and my laptop fails randomly in the LA downtown area. While I would like to have something better (a USB) for the laptop, I need the BT feature for the phone. I was wondering if there is a single solution.
Mike, do you know if the gps 500 unit can work on both usb and bt simultaneously ?
