Fixed it! Lowered the connection rate.
Tryed it on 2 different computers it installed fine and neither freedrive or another program will pick it up!
What is going on with this thing!
Checked the com port and it was on 5 on one computer and 4 on the other.
No clue what to do.
Thanks!

I have just reformatted my computer and now iGuidance 4 cannot find the BU-535 receiver. Drivers are updated and I'm using Xport. When I tried to scan for ports with GPSinfo, it gets stuck looking for anything after COM port 2. I'm running out of ideas. Can anyone help?
doublet, you have to change the baud rate. its in device manager. the default is like...9600 or something, it needs to be 4800. Try that and let us know if it works or not

Thanks for the reply, Jorel. I did go into the device manager and change it to 4800 to both COM1 and COM2, the only ports I see in device manager. That didn't fix the problem.
Oh I notice something else also. My plug and play capability is virtually gone too. This is after the reformat. Things like USB mouse and keyboard used to work just like that when I plug them in. Now, it kept on asking me to install drivers to them. I'm thinking the USB ports can be the culprit but then again, my touchscreen is working with drivers installed and I installed the driver for the BU-353.
This very well could be. check microsoft update or go to the manufacturers website and download the newest USB controller drivers. If you do find your GPS on a com port, you should probably switch it to COM3 or COM4 (COM1 and COM2 often seem to cause problems)
Oh, btw, I'm assuming its XP? Make sure SP2 is installed, that alone solves many problems
