Does Igo not like high com ports? I used xport on my gps (com5) and made a virtual port 9 for use with igo but the gps disconnects shortly after starting the program. If i close xport and run igo off of com5 it works fine.

Thank you guys for mentioning XPORT. I had the disconnect problem, I described it a few pages back... But that was without Xport. I downloaded it and now everything is fine.
Now I'm going to get drunk. I'm so happyIn the past 2 weeks I've been installing/reinstalling 5 different operating systems, a bunch of BT stacks on different PCs, with no result! iGO just kept disconnecting, and in fact killing the virtual COM service.
never dawned on me to check an updated version of xport3. i think i'm still using the first version 3!

unfortunately the new version of xport didnt solve my problem.. its funny... with xport running displays my location a good minute behind where i am until the connection just dies. If i run igo without xport it runs fine. What gives?

How do you start Xport ONLY when you need navigation?
If I let Xport run in the tray, it connects at windows startup and stays connected until shutdown...
I wouldn't want to minimize Centrafuse and start Xport, then back to Centrafuse and click IGO8... then after reaching destination, minimize CF and shut down Xport.
I don't want to, because it then stays connected to the GPS receiver all the time. Draining its battery for when I'll really need navigation.
(talking about a bluetooth GPS receiver)
