EDIT: OOps, didn't see all these responses.
Have iGO embedded nicely into RR, it does have some focus issues I am trying to work out. Still cannot figure out the "start" position either.

^the program is looking for a GPS position. Try using this, http://franson.com/gpsgate/, its a gps simulator. Find your lat, long position via google search and enter it into the program. Set it to output on COM2 and open up Igo and search for GPS signal. This is what I used to test Igo.
The start position is defined on the first run using 2 variables in the sys_pc.txt in the [gps] section. mine is downtown Toronto.
default_latitude=43.643978
default_longitude=-79.388663
Just change them to whatever you want them to be. If you have already run the app, go into the save folder and delete the 2 settings files. it will run through the first time setup when you run it again.
After that, as soon as it gets a valid signal, it will keep that everytime it runs.

For Embedding Reference:
Addto iGO8 sys_pc file [debug] section.Code:render_without_focus=1
This will allow iGO to continue rendering while embedded in RR and the focus is on RR.
