Since this thread is getting kind of wordy I decided to post a pic I snapped of iG08, running on my new lilliput, night maps, downtown detroit. I can't wait to actually get this off the test bench and onto the road.

Hi, some one can make the pc version of Igo work with the most recent maps?
Or can they work around the exe with the must recent PDA/PNA updates?

Two issues immediately come to mind:

1) Did you enable/configure TMC in the sys_pc.txt ?
Without adding some lines like

[tmc]
source="gns"
port=6
baud=38400

I'm afraid the TMC menu stays disabled.

2) If so, do you use the right gpstmc.dll ?
The one provided with some distributions is a 'non-windows-PC' version.
The one provided with CF, NavigatoR.2, etc should do the trick.

Just to confirm, I also use a GNS TMC receiver (the USB version), and it works fine as long as you don't expect the auto-tuning function to work.

I dowloaded the program and it works, but doesn't seem to have USA maps?
Where are they, I've spent a bunch of time finding only dead links.
Please give me some help here.

I'm not sure if this is skin specific or specific to igo.. but does anyone have problems with POI selection? On my system i load the POI menu but i cant scroll it. Clicking the down arrow or moving the slider moves the list for a half second but then the list snaps back to the top. What are some of the better skins out there?

Are you talking about iGO8 on PDA or PC ?
