iGuidance 4.0 QUESTION

Hello Peeps,

Just got my iGuidance 4 today and wanted to test it out in my house before putting it in my car. Is there anything in the software that will NOT allow me to put this software on two or more computers????? I don't think so But don't want to chance wasting it on my bench computer in the house.

Please let me know if you can help with my questions.

Phil, feel free to install it (and activate it) on two PCs. The built-in activation application will even let you de-activate iG4 on a PC, if you wish to activate it later on another PC.

Thanks Marvin, I am nervous about installing it on my pc cuz i have rr and digitalFX 3 and have no IDEA how to config it with my rr and dfx software. Any easy way of doing this? any tips you can give me?

Just run RRConfig, point to the iGuidance location, and check the iGnative checkbox and your done.

Also this is not a FAQ, so you should not mark it as one.

And I would actually not install it on multiple computers. There are many users here that are having real big problems with iNav regarding activation if done more than once even with the deregister and re-register.

Personally I despise having to activate anything and as such dont. But there are people who have activated it and iNav wont transfer their activation, so their copy is dead.

Thanks for the tip, however i already installed it in the house, i'll guess i'll take and cross my fingers that everything goes good in the car.

I did just what you said and I am not able to bring up the program when i click on GPS in DFX. What else can I do and look for?

If it works with the default BMV2 skin, then you have to set something up with the DFX skin that you havent yet. And that is a question that has probably been answered in its thread and if not that is where the question should be.

Hope that your HD does not fail... IG will not let you clone and you have only 3 activations. My 1st attempt to use IG4 was in my CarPC. Worked fine until I decided to use a tablet. Unfortunately i did not reset my license. Strike 1! Strike 2 I downgraded to XP on my formely Vista Tablet and forgot again to reset the damn license. Strike 3 my hd crashed.... Inav refuses to give me another install.
