Thread: Destinator 7 For PC

Very intrested of getting a fit in FreeIce

Not only are there sizing problems but there is also a memory leak in the pc version.After 30 mins or so it will crash the system,a resizer and a program to restart it every 30 mins(adjustable) or so has been written by some learned folks at digital car http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/s....php?t=8729.it is a shame actually because i like D7 especially 2d view,and d7 routes well, much better than d6.Thats the biggest problem i have with Centrafuse,d6/PN the routing is terrible.One further comment,i believe d7 for PC is not officially acknowleged, was made for demonstration uses thats why no fixes or support from destinator.

I installed D7 yesterday... as a stand alone in the car pc, so not embedded anywhere. I used for for about 30 mins yesterday with no probs. The only issue I had was that it would not let me hibernate the system, so I had to exit it before hibernating.

I'm going for a 2 hour drive tomorrow x2 (car's being remapped - yay!), so will be using D7 to get there and back (I'm taking my tomtom too just in case).

So I'll report back any issues I have.

yeah destinator 7 failed after about an hour... it crashed and locked up Freeice partly. I had to use ctr-alt-del to end it. And although routing worked, it was slightly different from my tom tom.
