    Garmin Mobile PC and Delorme lt-40 sensor

    I downloaded serial emulator from Delorme and it works great, ie finds the satellites and looks great. But I cannot connect from Garmin Mobile PC version
    5.00.50 (newest). I can choose ports 1,2,5,60,and so on in the serial emulator. When I go to Garmin, the only choices for serial ports are 3 and 4 (exactly the ones I cannot choose in Delorme serial emulator). So I cannot connect. &^*&^%^*&*(!!!!!!

    What is the xport problem - Error: Invalid port, or driver confused.

    I set Serial Emulator to Port 2 and xport sees Port 2 attached GPS device, so far so good.

    I have a hardware serial port COM1, Port 2 is set in Serial Emulator. GMPC gives choice of ports 1,3,4. (Before I enabled the hardware port 1, the GMPC choices were only Port 3 and 4)

    xport does not let me choose ports 1 or 2 as output ports, when I try ANY of the ports available as choice (3,4,7,8,and more) in pull down list for output port, I get

    Error: Invalid port, or driver confused.

    Now I am stuck, whatever I try I get this lovely Error: Invalid port, or driver confused.

    I think your problem has to do with a difference in the software between ports used for input versus those used for output. You might try Franson's GPSGate, which has a free trial (2 wks?).
