Of course it allways is but we could spend up to $200 on the GPS reciver in this project

This really is a ridiculous question.

Why don't you try spending some time reading in the forum rather than just asking someone to tell you. Better yet, why don't you just go and purchase a complete solution from one of the many CarPC retailers. If you don't want to take the time to understand why you are going with each and every solution in your set-up, then it's the best option.

I'm not purchasing compleet solution cuz none of the compleet once have many things I require - full size PCI slot for a Lynx card, solid state HD, bit perfect software, etc......

I'd go with the Trimble 252. They start at $3000 for the WAAS version, $5000 for OmniStar XP/HP capability, or $7000 for dual frequency RTK support. Position updates at 10 Hz with an accuracy of under one inch.

If you can wait a couple months, I've heard they are coming out with a new version that will probably add GLONASS support.

You did say $ is not an issue.

Well - if you read this post you would have seen - not an issue up to $200. Now if we were talking about pice of audio eqipment - well you just mentioned about 1/8th of the retail of my audio system

Also not sure why knowing my position to an inch would help me on the road.

Precision is good but I do not think we need it to more then to couple of feets at best. Now speed of aqusition, relaiability in the city, overall relaiability - thats important

This ALL depends on how well you want it integrated. Again, a few reads through a few threads will tell you a ton about which GPS receivers are top on people's lists.

If you want it 100% integrated, the GPS mouse isn't the way to go.

After killing a few gps mouse receivers with wet weather and usb problems, I use a Garmin OEM 16 HVS High-Sensitivity $93. Gamin also has the Garmin GPS 18x 5Hz High-Sensitivity for $140 for something more accurate.
