tried to disable firewall at server and telnet on port 6000... no luck :-(
tried to make the internal ip of the server 192.168.1.2.. still no luck
but now telnet from the client works..... could it be that the service at the server does not listen for data?
EDIT: DOH since i can telnet and get a response there must be something that listens.... i guess the client does not send the data, that adds with the client is very slow at open so that i can see the window with the buttons and all... but i might be wrong
congrats we have updates.... but now back to the error when loading geofence data... the line 143 thing
any advice on hoe i could do some more troubleshooting?
Blessed are the "cracked" for it is they who let in the light.
Sorry for the long time away but I needed a break for a while. Supporting three apps gets busy at times.
anyway back now so will try to answer your questions and give more help
It can be a long time before it responds. It depends on how much data is trying to be sent to the server and how long it takes to time out (thats why deletig the database seemed to cure it). I thought about threading it but that causes other issues. If you just wait for a minute or 2 it does become responsive.
You should really have your user list filled in, otherwise the server doesn't know what users it has to track and display.
Your default user should also be set on the client. This should be diffeent for each client.
Your debug level for the server isn't set. I think it defaults to 4 if nothings set but while your testing they should both be set to 5. When your happy you can bring the debug level down.
I think I agree with enforcer that its a probably a nationalisation issue. Can you tell me what settings you have for that? I assume dutch. I will try to create a vm machine setup like you and see if I can recreate.
Is there anything in the server log that suggests an error?
