    LCD Screen Size for GPS

I'm planning on putting a laptop or carputer in my explorer, not really looking to spend alot, mostly the wow factor plus its kinda hard to get lost in this city anyway I was wondering what size of lcd would be ok...for GPS and maybe dvd's,,also will show the mp3's im playing and visuals, for gps maybe using streets and trips or steet atlas

I'm looking at a 5.6" or 6" LCD off Ebay...
I plan to mount it on the center console above my radio and in front of the AC vents

    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks

The only screen that you will be one hundred percent satisfied is will be a xenarc because it has vga input. Screens using S-video or composite will never be able to show small text which is usually what mapping software uses for street names.

I bought a 7"lcd that has composite in. Using streets 98 because I haven't found other mapping software to use yet, the text is pretty much unreadable. I need font size of probably 14 or better to be able to read text on my screen.

So if you only want to get one screen, seriously consider the xenarc. Otherwise you might be purchasing another in the future.

rca screens are terrible at doing any real resolution sizes
I have a 7" tft-lcd and 640x480 is the only size I can do without things getting cut off.
    Mine needs to be updated.
