I have the exact same problem only mine only works about one third of the time.
I am considering upgrading to WINDOWS 7 and see if this helps.
i have a usb Global-Sat GPS receiver going to my laptop running Centrafuse on XP with the Destinator software for my navigation. The problem I am running into is that only about half the time I start up my computer it picks up the GPS signal, the other times its just an arrow with an X in it. I have found a quick solution to this which is going to settings, clicking navigation setup, not changing a single setting but hitting save settings and going back. after that i have a GPS signal. I guess my question is what could i possible be changing by saving no changes in settings? Theres gotta be a way to duplicate that at start up so it starts GPS every time. It's not a huge problem obviously it's just a little annoying and if anyone has encountered this and knows of a fix i would greatly appreciate it!
That's normal without XPort.
don't need to do anything for me. just setup a delayed startup script to force nmea and it's good from then on...
Then again, my setup doesn't look all fancy shmancy with a frontend. i just use a media player as a frontend. seems to work for me.
Nooooooo! Really? 1.41 is the most agressive so far. I think it tries to connect a little sooner, but also retries lot.
Not sure if it it the latest, latest one.
I'll try and find out the different versions later in the week.
I am really new to this could someone tell me what XPort is? and also p057 mentioned a delay at startup script although Centrafuse has a built-n delay on startup that I do not have enable what should i set it for?
