I think Destinator has a free trial download, although I'm not certain.

There must be tons of free gps test programs out there that you can use to confirm it is working properly. Try a Google search for them.

Usually the units ship with a software disk that has a program to show you your location and how many satelites it has detected with their relative strengths. This will show you the gps unit is working.

There's a free trial of Microsoft Streets & Trips 2010, which includes road map of USA, Canada, and Mexico. If you are in Europe, you could download and install free trial of Microsoft AutoRoute 2010.

I got Street Atlas 2010 and iGuidance v4.0. Seems like Street atlast is much nicer compared to iGuidance. Only thing lacking is built in keyboard.

    Thanks fellas

Lol no, it seems that i've got a newer version because they've now updated Street Atlas with touchscreen users in mind.

To me the Data (next turn, eta, distance traveled, ect) is better placed and easier to read. Also, the menu's follow the same standard, and to me are much nicer than the iGuidance one. The grey bar running horizontally, with the green and red dot show you where you are in refrence to your starting point and ending destination.

    Check it out:

I've been running Street Atlas 2010 Plus embedded in RideRunner for about 3 months. Personally I am totally stoked and happy with it. It does work well even on a seven inch touch screen. I have dual touch screens with a custom dual screen skin. So when I open my nav screen, it embeds delorme into the first screen where I will have other Riderunner features in the second. The voice commands are fun to use, and I can't be happier with it. It works well. Best thing was that I caught it on sale for $19. It was truly a steal. And on a sidenote, there is none of that activation license bullcrap so you can have it installed on more than one pc without a hassle. A total win win deal. I can't say any of that about Iguidance.

    Slaya,
I use a usb mini keyboard with mine.
On the embed, what I'll do is post how I did mine when I finish up my work week. PM me so I don't forget.
