Where was this thread when I was shopping for my GPS? Got the Bu353 and it doesn't always work so well.

Mine has arrived from Ebay, and I can confirm it works really well in Centrafuse 3.1.

Please note that the default baud will come at 115,200, you need to use the OLD GPSview to change this to 38,400 or 57,600, as the one included on the CD doesn't support changing the baudrate, only the update interval.

The old GPSview allows to change both, and mine is happily chugging away at 38,400 and 5Hz- works great
I just received mine yesterday and it works great. I'm using gpsgate to get it working with Garmin and iGuidance. Would changing the baud rate lower be better? At 5hz, Garmin does look smoother but you can still see choppiness and it still jumps when I make a turn. iGuidance still updates at 1hz even when it's being fed 5hz. iGuidance 4 that is..

Oh, and this thing locks position incredibly fast compared to previous units like my Holux GM-210. Resuming from hibernation is more than enough time for the unit to get a lock.

Great unit. Lock on straight after resuming from hibernation.
Thank you for pointing me to this GPS

Also just ordered one, I'm curious it will work better than the 302. After a hibernate now I'll have to wait sometimes more than 3 - 5 minutes.

This is a good reciever when it gets a lock. Sometimes it wont get a lock for my whole drive to campus, about 30 miles. But when it gets a lock its hell lots better then the globalsat.

Are any of you experiencing a problem when hibernating? Ever since i installed this the computer will come out of hibernating by itself. I had a wondering mouse issue in windows 7, which was fixed by disabling a driver under mouse options. But still cant figure out this hibernation issue.

Just got the gps receiver and tested it. It works flawlessly with gpsgate and sygic. All at 5Hz and no changes on gpsgate. It runs at windows XP. Very fast fix and more accuracy then my E302.
