GPS integrating

I'm looking to add a GPS system/unit into my touchscreen setup. I'm also making a custom touchscreen app that is far from finished (think pre-alpha stage), but am considering a GPS unit within a couple days/weeks so I can gauge what I am up against. If anyone knows of a unit that is easy to integrate with please let me know.

I am looking for real time map/location (top view or 3d, 3d preferred), speed/mph, quickest/fastest routes, etc...

I have an on screen keyboard fully functional for my app, so the GPS including an osk doesn't matter.

For fyi, I am developing on Windows 7, vb.net 2010.
