This has to be my favorite Copilot live v8 by Alk http://copilotlive.com/us/ and embeds in quite a few FE's SNO
Hey guys,
I am looking to install a GPS software into my carputer and am not having much luck with the choices available.
Currently I am trying MS Streets and Trips 2013 and find that it isnt geared for Car PC use (small icons/text) and the rerouting times are way too long among other things.
Ive also tried Mapfactor and found that on several occasions - i was directed to go down the wrong way on a one way street.
Im just looking for something new and affordable. Topo features would be excellent if possible but not necessary.
I have windows 7.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do you know if there is a trial version? I cant seem to locate it on their site.
Perhaps there is life beyond Garmin Mobile PC, which has stopped providing updates after 2010.
Is there anyone out there (since there appears to be to no trial version) that can attest to this software being worth the $100?? If I get enough feedback, I'd be willing to put GMPC on the shelf permanently!!
I have Co-pilot installed in 50 transport trucks running all over Canada and US and the driver's use it more than their own personal garmin, tomtom, magellin units. I also use it everyday. Support from ALK is almost non-existent but the software has no problems and map updates are consistant. Also on the Garmin side map updates are still available using some slight of hand tactics. SNO
OK, Mister slight of hand tactics (fascinating), I'm still curious about CoPilot v8, but will not throw away GMPC.
I will check out whatever demos I can find.
I to want to know what people is using lately.
I am running centrafuse with old GMPC plugin (might upgrading to rebellion 4) with a mobile pc garmin. Works very good, however sometimes glitches I think is because of the drivers/hardware.
My CarPc Blog (<This is outdated. I have updated to a fully running Carpc System)http://acurafuse.blogspot.com
Me too, i have checked out the youtube videos and seeing what i can find out about it Hopefully it embeds into FreeIce without issues. I'm still on Iguidance 2009(yeah i know, damn thats over due for an upgrade) but its been very reliable I just want turn by turn with traffic updates without be having to use my phone.
