Bit of a comparison between a few that might be suitable..
Crikey the Window-based GPS market is a small & murky one Next week I'm ordering up all my missing CarPC parts and want to sort the nav s/ware too....
Originally, I was up for getting Garmin Mobile PC, but that's discontinued. Centrafuse's built in s/ware looks a bit basic for my liking, so it looks like the crazy expensive Sygic s/ware is the next best choice, but I can't find out if it does Itinerary planning (this is a deal breaker as it's something I use all the time on my old TomTom unit).
If there's any Sygic users out there who can confirm whether Itn planning is included, I'd appreciate it.
Failing that (and really the point of posting in the general GPS section) - Is there an alternative W7 / Centrafuse GPS platform that folks would recommend with UK & EUR maps?
Thanks Stretch, Odyssey looks like a very nice application, however, according to the website, to get it with EU maps it's a lot more expensive than the already expensive Sygic, as I'd have to buy the std product with Oz maps and then get the EU update! There's also no mention of Itinerary Planning, or it's integration with Centrafuse on the TWIG or CF websites I might still e-mail TWIG to ask if they're prepared to do a deal (my car is never likely to get to Oz to need those maps, LOL!), providing there's CF integration.... so worth a follow up maybe.
Any more ideas / comments from other users??
