    so...

Do you guys like the Earthmate + Street Atlas USA 2004 software for use with GPS? Ive been searching and see mixed reviews about it. Id like to get the skivvy about this product. Can you mount it anywhere or does it need sky access? Does it work well as in.. fast locating, no screw ups in location? Is there other software that works with this hardware?

Thanx a bunch, sorry for the repeat questions.

    James

Ive got the usb earthmate and sa2003, and the usb earthmate needs a view of the sky, and wouldnt work in the rear window under the defroster wires, so its on my dash now. The earthmates accuracy is good, its just that the maps in sa arent nearly as accurate (I think ive been driving in the forest before ). SA is a bit hard to see on my tiny 5.6 composite lcd, and I've only used it a handful of times, never taking the time to figure out the routing, or how to increase the street names on the map (which supposedly is possible). But I'd buy it again, for $120, its a nice package.

Edit: And I have a 3d lock by the time I open SA generally.
