I have used autoroute in norway, it covers the whole country but the roads are not very detailed. Route 66 is detailed but only cover oslo. Not sure about destinator 3 or Alturion 5 pro, I do have them on my PDA, I can check it for you. The laptop version should be the same in map details.
The GPS I used when I was there is made by Sony (ETAK GPS1) not good at all in norway. I think the satellite signals are weaker there compared to UK. I have noticed you got alot of tunnels there so what you really need is a sensitive receiver and can lock on quickly. I got lost because of my crappy GPS, when I came out of the tunnel theres so many road to turn and didnt know which one to take. It take something like 3 mins before it lock again![]()
Anyway it is worth buying a good quality GPS. Now Im using a garmin GPS16 and it stay lock inside a 3/4 mile tunnel and can relock in a few seconds. I also have tried TomTom PDA GPS bluetooth and some others GPS, they are not that good at all compared to garmins.
Buy the most sensitve and accurate GPS you can afford, Ill go garmin anytime
Hope that helps.
