Hi Taytay
Thanks for taking the time to give chapter and verse. I followed your instructions but was still getting errors. Decided to leave it to this morning. Turned my CarPc on, went and got another coffee, came back and found it had hung. Rebooted, hung again but at a different place. Think I've got a problem with the EPIA mobo overheating.
All completely unrelated but so, so frustrating.
Once again, thanks for your assistance.
Doug

Been a very odd series of problems. I've been using a Mitsumi USB bluetooth adapter for a year. Now, for some reason, it causes the processor to overheat! Nothing has changed except for loading the Lantronix and Comfoolery. Uninstalled them, still getting problems. Uninstalled the Mutsumi drivers and unplugged it and the PC runs at normal temperatures. Weird or what!Originally Posted by Taytay

Thanks Taytay, your tip about "Raw mode" is the step I was missing in getting this to work.
Any idea why it quits after about 15 seconds or so?
I am running XP Pro, and am trying to split a USB Earthmate GPS from com4 to com5 and com6. The comfoolery data to clients window shows data from the GPS, and then just stops. If open the com port settings, and then click ok, it works for another 15 secs or so, then stops.
Thanks
Ted
That is a real hack to set up, and sucks when you reboot. Since you're running XP, try this. Just uninstall comfoolery and the other thing first.
That just plain ROCKS!!!
Thanks Curiosity. Works great. Ran my GPS to NetStumbler, Street Atlas, and Streets & Trips at the same time.
Great link...I had seen similar programs before but they were limited to win2k!
After some buffoonery on my part (port 5251 instead of 5751...that took an hour to figure out) it works just as advertized....I am (of course) using the no nag version (1.00)
Dooooooh, soooo close!!! Works well but doesn't ****in hibernate!!!!Originally Posted by Curiosity

Just out of curiosity, Curiosity, are you the writer of XPort?
Edit again:
Ah, just looked at your profile - I guess you are!
Can you do anything with the hibernate issue?![]()
Doh! I knew this was just too easy. I'm sure it's possible, but may take some time to get around to it. Sorry bout that!
