are you running like 98 or something?
I'm having problems running routis in mediaengine gps. I've pointed to the correct path and it starts... but instead of the disclaimer it says that sound drivers where not loaded and it doesn't start!!! In mediacar it works... also by itself it starts fine. Is Mediaengine sharing the port for sound so routis can't load? Thanks all

The problem you are having is probably because of the working directory. Routis looks for it's support files in the current directory -- probably the executable directory of Media Engine.
You need to set the equivalent of the windows short cut "Start in" directory. I don't know if ME has this setting. MediaCar does. Another solution is to make a second copy of Routis files in the Media Engine directory.
Thanks, I'll give it a shot.... still not sure which I'm going to use MediaCar or MediaEngine.Originally Posted by NewTechFool
I'm having this same problem. I have tried copying the Routis files to C:\MediaEngine2.0, C:\, and the directory where I keep all my mp3s. Still not working. If you add is as an External Application it will work once. If you exit ME and reopen it, then launch Routis, Missing or Corrupt Sound files. I've tested it in MediaCar and it works every time.

yeah, I keep getting the same error too...even after trying to copy routis and all of those sound files to every other directory out there.
haven't tried it in media car, but it works with no problems in frodoplayer.
anyone have a solution to this? Ive got the same problem....

I'm having the same problem, and when it gives me that error, it's sending MediaEngine into limbo. The audio control don't show like they should, and I can't get back to ME without using the taskmanager and terminating MediaEngine.

my only solution has been to keep my computer in hibernate the whole time, and never close media engine. Since it works the first time you add the external application, as long as you never shut down or close media engine you should be fine
