I noticed this earlier as it happens - must be the 'improved' routines I did !
I'll get my thinking cap on and work a way around the fluctuations.
The announcements not sounding is quite odd, again I'll run through it with a fine toothed comb...

also i'f im still and the gps is stable ( no change on map in gps nav) your app flucates nearest cam just wanders about between 50m and 400m

    anyone else seeing this?

thanks goto - apart from that very nice, the faint beeps are ideal just to alert you somethings near without being annoying - what would be cool is an option to make the "warning speed camera" only sound once per camera otherwise i usually get warned over 5 times coming up to a camera at 30

Still love this application, its cool. An earlier comment said that the database was out of date, and yes its quite old. Is there any new "Road Angel" type updated database coming out soon. Keep up the good work!!

Yes, almost there, luckily I've been out and about recently so I've had a chance to test it properly! Options to limit number of beeps etc are now in place, just sorting out the 'jumping' at the moment - mainly just a smoothing algorithm to try and iron out silly GPS inputs - much like the map software does I'd imagine... Hopefully have something ready for next week.
Regarding getting the data from a B2 unit or similar - I've worked out most of what the data means now so might start hosting 'current' data on my webspace for download, includes speed limits, direction of camera etc - that'll be another release away yet though!

Hi, just had chance to test this software - great work!

Just an idea. Sorry if this has been suggested elsewhere but I've very little time to post/read recently: -

Would be great with a big button that you could press when passing a speed camera it doesn't know about. It adds the camera to the "current" database, and also into a separate file that can be sent to mobilegpswhojermacallits to update their central database. There's about 20 new cameras round me I could add for a start

Also had a problem in that it wouldn't let me hibernate when it was running. Not sure if this was your software or that xport thing will investigate more if I get a chance, but it's imperative that I can hibernate.

Great work tho, keep it up!

Car changed for TVR Griffith 500, so computer de-installed. Using a Dension 100ix w/60Gb HD unit in the interim.
