BB never fullfilled my rebate so they lost my trust. If something's a really good deal and no rebate, I might get it there though. Otherwise forget it!

too bad delorme couldn't be more responsive on their software issues. Nor admit reproduceable software bugs. ~sigh, the good old undocumented features... btw, what was the number you called?
My story, found couple bugs in Street Atlas 2003. The best answer they could give me was that the issue was not a bug, but upgrade to 2004, it "might" fix it.
issue one: running language pack on XP cause route to stop working
issue two: It does not follow windows standards on utilizing sound card resources. It just choose the default sound card that was there when Street Atlas was installed. Thus if you install another sound card, in order to use that one, you will have to reinstall Street Atlas. The use always use default sound device does not do anything for this software.
~sigh
i always call Best Buy by the name of Worst Buy. i make sure if i buy anything electronic that i will care if it will break in a year to buy the extended warrenty.
this came in useful when i bought an Aiwa head unit for its earphone aux in...it completely died in a year. went back to best buy, they sent it out for service for 2 weeks, then came back, tried to install, and still didn't work. they sent out AGAIN for another 2 weeks, it came back, and still didn't work. their policy is 3 times and its replaced, but by that time i was ****ed and asked for the store manager. they gave me store credit to the price i *orginially* paid for the unit, and i got another one.
now this one has had its CD player die in it, serviced for 2 weeks, then comes back fine. a week later the freaking thing dies AGAIN.
luckly, i just got my LCD then, and took my dash apart to only discover this:
THEY FREAKIN DUCK TAPED MY HEAD UNIT INTO THE CAR.
i still have it under warrenty up to Nov, when I will go in and get it serviced before then. I just don't want to loose my head unit for another 2 weeks with no damn musick. but when i go in, they are going to freakin hear it. no excuse for that kind of ****.
i use to work in customer service and as a tech at Staples (when they had them), so i know what it is like to be on the other side of the counter.

Aiwa car stereo = CRAP, at least you didn't buy Audiovox, that thing would've died in a week![]()

I buy online, its cheaper, easier and you dont have to deal with low-iq sales people.
mp3store.com is great, they shipped my new Opus a couple of days ago and it arrived today... try finding those in BB. Unless you are looking for really common stuff, the stores are lame. Try finding a selection of mini-itx boards or low-height memory etc... And I live near silicon valley where you would expect this from the stores.
