They are coded into the program. They cannot be changed though. But they are there. Just found them.

You cannot set hot keys on the laptop version. Sucks! Only the pocket PC version has that feature. Just got mine today. Looks good. Besides water and a crap load of new POIs, it is identical to routis.

Whats so great about Iguidance....it doesnt even compare with the latest DVD Navigation as of yet. The Interface still looks cheap.
Its hard to believe that nobody can come out with a PC nav system equivalent to Alpine, Pioneer or Panasonics or even GORILLA DVD systems...
That's a matter of opinion of course. I'd say that MapPoint actually has the nicest looking maps of anything I've seen yet... It just sucks for navigation.Originally Posted by riuster
iGuidance/Routis get praise because they have a nice 3D view, have great routing and voice prompts, and are very affordable with great quality maps.
Regarding the interface, I'm not sure I'd say it looks cheap, but it is designed specifically to work with a touchscreen, which is an incredibly Good Thing. I wish more mobile apps would be built with touchscreens in mind.
I didn't know Panasonic came out with in-car navi for the US - can you post a link and what is Gorilla DVD (google didn't help out)???Originally Posted by riuster
Also, I think the industry is placing priority on integrated in-car solutions first since I would assume that is where the greatest demand is. Lexus introduced navigation back in 1998 I think (maybe earlier?) - when was the first software solution released - I would bet that it came out later. Soon enough the stand alone products will measure up to the integrated solutions, it will just take time.

Um why on the front page does it say Plinkey was the last poster but yet I come to the thread and it says I am? Did he delete his msg or an admin deleted it and the front page doesn't know?
EDIT: Obviously it says me now, but it did say Plinkey before I posted this
CarPC install is starting to come along again...

If you're on IE, Tools-> Internet Options->Temporary Internet File [Settings]-> and set it to 'Every visit to the page'

refresh alone won't work if it's bringing things from cache. that's why you should change as in my previous post.
It did not help, i tried it. And it says plinkey again...as if it thinks YOU are plinkey
