what you can do is to create differnent maps and make a backup of the MAP folder. cut and paste when you decide which map you going to use.

Thanks for the idea, but that's a ridiculous bandaind for a poor installer. I believe I have them all installed now (the installer started barfing about being unable to find several files toward the end but as far as I can tell, all the map data is there. I even ran the installer again and it listed all maps as being installed). I left the data copying over to my laptop this morning when I left for work. I love debugging released commercial applications... sigh.

In order to efficiently manage the maps first generate map data for your first location – then rename c:\iNav iGuidance\ directory. Load another set – and you’ll see that iGuidance recreated the folder with a new set of maps. You can now freely rename the directories back and forth to switch your datasets. You can also copy these folders to your PocketPC overwriting existing files to switch your available map data without the need to re-generate map information every time.

Embeded would be nice. Automatically go to mini-mode and not allow more than one instance of iGuidance would make it perfect.

Haven't made it to that section of the forum. Guess that will be my next stop.

for all the iguidance 2.1 users in here...I am using that software with a Rikaline 6010 USB receiver purchased from USB.

This is my first GPS experinence and to say the least i was blown away how accurately it worked (have only used it locally so far). I have been reading around about all this sirf vs nema and higher baud rates.

I guidance doesnt have any settings for sirf or nema...is it safe to assume that its only compatiable with nema, b/c my Rikaline 6010 is sirf or nema capabale.

Works good as it is but i just dont want to be missing out on anything.

P.S. FYI the rikaline 6010 has a very strong magnetic base so it can be attached to the outside, i connect to 7-9 satellites when outside maximum is 12 which it has gotten before i think. AND 4-6 satellites when its inside the car next to the rear brake lights.
