Poineer DVD GPS

I really like the Quailty of the Poineer DVD 3-d Drivers view software. The Detail of the side streets, water, and even Sky with clouds are amazing but how come I can't find quailty like this for my Carputer? I found Tom Tom I thought it was pretty close but it is for hand held. This is probly a dumb Q. but I'm a Noob, can I some how munipulate or emulate the DVD to run on a PC? I found I could buy the DVD pretty cheap not sure how good the Mapping or voice command is? Anyway if anyone knows anything similar please post heres a link with some screen shots of the Poineer unit.

The software is not contain on the DVD, its contained in the hardware itself, only the map data is stored on the DVDs.
